Breaking Cat News recently posted a fantastic comic that highlights the need for adoption of cats in shelters. One of my two cats was a shelter cat we adopted nearly eight years ago, and it was one of the best choices we made at the time. He was likely an abused animal (whether intentional or not I don’t know – but for a log time he’d flinch when you raised your hand too quickly to pet him), but over time he came out of his shell.
Check out the webcomic, by Georgia Dunn after the break. It’s a fantastic read. When you’ve done that, have a read through some older posts there; they are genuinely funny, touching, and absolutely worth reading.
