Sunday Funnies #20

The intermittant Sunday Funnies is back with something not event remotely to comic book culture. This video, taken from a match between two Quebec Major Junior Hockey League teams on Friday made me laugh more than I have in a long time.

You don’t need to follow hockey to enjoy the commentary and the death looks.

‘Tear the ice down a half an inch’
Not a chance there’s that much ice left on top of the logo or he’d never pull it up that easy.
Somebody didn’t check the ice depth prior to game time to insure they had enough depth for playing that level of hockey. Logos are placed slightly above the original painted surface(I use1/8″-1/4″ off of the floor) to allow them to be removed if necessary without damaging the reflective(white) and markings painted layer.
They should have 1/2″-3/4″ or more space of skating surface above this placement for this level of hockey. These players play with very sharp skates and make huge cuts(1/8″-1/’4″) in the ice while playing.
